DIY or Call Us?

There’s a safe middle ground here. You can check whether the keypad has power at the transformer, whether the intercom cable is visibly damaged, and whether the housing screws are loose. Turn the breaker off first - these are low-voltage systems, but they’re still connected to line voltage somewhere in the chain.

Where DIY goes wrong: BFT keypads store pairing codes and rolling-code sequences that must be preserved or reprogrammed in the correct sequence. Lose the programming order and you’re locked out of your own gate. The intercom bus wiring is polarity-sensitive; reverse it and you’ll fry the board.
