We’ve been fixing and installing gates across Cleveland since 2013. The crew that’s out in your driveway today is the same crew that’s been serving Parma Heights, Shaker Heights, and Lakewood for years. We’re not a rotating cast of subcontractors. These are the people who answer when you call, show up when we say we will, and stand behind the work. Done right, and backed in writing.

Dale Morrow, Owner
I’ve been running Ironworks Gate Co. of Cleveland for over two decades now, and I still grab my tool bag when a job gets interesting. Started out welding farm gates in Ashtabula County, moved into automation when homeowners started wanting keypads that actually worked in February. These days I spend more time on the phone and in trucks than under a gate, but I’ll never pass up a stuck Viking operator in a snowstorm. I tell every new hire the same thing my father told me: the 400th job gets the same care as the first. Also, if you can’t explain the problem to a customer without using the word “actuator” three times, you don’t understand the problem. I live in West Park with my wife and a dog who has figured out how to open our own gate, which is either a point of pride or a security flaw we need to address.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been with us for eleven years, and he’s the reason we can promise same-day fixes on nine automation brands. LiftMaster, FAAC, BFT, Linear, Viking, Ghost Controls, DoorKing, Elite, Mighty Mule - he’s certified on all of them, and he’s got the worn knee pads to prove it. Grew up in Slavic Village, still lives there, knows which streets flood in spring and which driveways have the weird slope that throws off your gate alignment. His specialty is diagnosing intermittent failures, the kind where a gate works fine when you show up and dies the minute you leave. He carries a notebook with sketches of every oddball hinge he’s ever seen, and he will absolutely show it to you if you ask. Off the clock, he restores vintage motorcycles and applies the same patience to a 1972 Honda that he does to a seized FAAC hydraulic ram.
Elena V., Senior Installer
Elena joined us eight years ago after running her own welding business in Tremont. She handles our estate gate installations and custom fabrications, the jobs where a standard kit won’t cut it because the driveway drops six feet from the street or the homeowner wants a design that matches their 1920s brickwork. She’s AWS-certified and has a particular gift for matching patinas on wrought iron repairs so the new weld doesn’t scream “new weld.” Her human detail: she talks to gates while she works. Not loudly, not weirdly, just a running commentary. “All right, you stubborn thing, let’s see what’s binding you.” Customers mention it in reviews more than you’d expect. Lives in Ohio City with two cats who do not respect gates of any kind.
James K., Service Coordinator
James is the live voice you get when you call (855) 949-2853 at 2 a.m. because your gate won’t close and you’re not sure if it’s the motor or the remote. He’s been with us four years, came over from dispatching for a towing company on the west side, so he’s unflappable when someone is frustrated and it’s raining. He knows every technician’s strengths, every common failure mode by neighborhood, and which parts we have on which truck. He can walk a homeowner through a quick safety check over the phone to determine if we need to roll emergency or if it’s a simple reset. He keeps a Cleveland Browns schedule pinned above his monitor and schedules around game days without ever admitting that’s what he’s doing. Grew up in Parma, still has family there, knows the difference between a Parma garage and a Parma Heights garage.
Devon R., Apprentice
Devon’s been with us fourteen months, came to us through Cuyahoga Community College’s welding program, and he’s the reason we can still take on jobs in tight windows. He rides with Marcus or Elena, carries the heavy stuff, asks the questions that remind us what we stopped explaining years ago. He’s already taken his first solo call, a Mighty Mule operator replacement in Beachwood that he finished in under two hours. His specialty is becoming: he’s obsessed with access control systems, keypads, card readers, the whole signal path from button to motor. He’s got a Raspberry Pi at home running a mock gate circuit he built in his apartment. We don’t entirely understand it, but he’s never fried a control board on a job, so we let him have his hobbies. From East Cleveland, takes the Rapid to work when his truck is in the shop, which gives him a perspective on security most of us don’t have.
